Depreciation

Are you able to add depreciation after an estimate is complete?

Best Answer

Yes, you can add depreciation at any point to an estimate. You can do this by either manually setting the depreciation per item in the VSS, or creating a depreciation table to apply.

Simsol already has a depreciation template you can use based on Trade with Age. If you went this route and still are not seeing any depreciation, then you need to set the economic age for each area in your estimate individually. To do this, go to the estimate Scope of Damage. From here, right click on the first area, click Economic Age from the menu. Put the Economic age for the area in the text field, if it is already correct then leave it. Select, 'OK'. Repeat these steps for each area in the estimate and you should see your depreciation totals.
