Did you receive an error stating that Simsol cannot perform an action or operation on an open dataset? If so, you may need to run through some routine maintenance to ensure all databases are updated and not being accessed. 


To run through this maintenance, begin by closing out of Simsol and any Simsol Related Utilities (Claimswire, Warehouse, Simdrive, or other). 


Right click on your Simsol icon and select 'Open File Location'.



In the folder that appears, find and open the Delete Lock and Net Utility (Del_Lock_and_Net.exe). 



Once this open, verify that the file path at the top is set to 'C:\' and then select 'Start'.



Files may appear in the center area, that is normal and means the utility is working properly.  Once the 'Start' button turns back to say 'Start' select 'Close' to close the utility. 



Next we'll want to run the DBCleanUp utility. To get to this, right click on your Simsol icon and select 'Open File Location'.





In the folder that appears, find and open DBCleanUp.exe.






In the window that appears, select 'OK'.





You'll then select the option 'Update All Data', then select 'Go'.





When this process is complete, the 'Updating System Files' window disappears and you'll see a 'Done' status in the bottom left-hand corner. Next, uncheck 'Update all Data', then check the two options for 'Validate Drawers and Claims' as well as the 'Arc and Restore Claims DB'. Select 'Go' again when your screen looks similar to the one below:
