If Simsol will not open when clicking on the icon, there may be one or multiple instances of Simsol Products open in the background. You can check to see if this is true by following the steps below:
1. Open your Windows Task Manager. You can do this by selecting 'CTRL + ALT + Delete' on your keyboard or by right-clicking on your date/time of your computer and selecting 'Task Manager'.
3. Search for Simsol related products. These can be either in the Apps or Background Processes section of your Task Manger. Simsol Products may include: Simsol Estimating System, Claimswire Uploader, Warehouse Upload Tool, or Simdrive. Once you've found one, right-click and select 'End Task'.
3. As a precaution, we recommend running a clean up utility prior to trying to open Simsol again. To run this, navigate to Start>All Programs>Simsol Products>DBUtils>Delete Lock and Net Utility. Once this opens, make sure that the C:\ drive is selected in the drop-down menu at the top and then press the 'Start' button at the bottom left. Once the start button has returned, the utility has completed. From this point, click 'Close' to exit the utility. This utility will search the system for any Paradox lock or net files that should be removed from memory and may be locking certain program files from being accessed.
4. You may now open Simsol.
